Happy New Year 2009!!

I know it has been a long time since I have posted. It has been a busy time of the year with work and the Holidays, oh not to mention the 18 month old that I have been chasing around! The Holidays were great this year. For the past 3 years I have been picturing what it would be like to have a child and how the Holidays would be different. It was amazing to watch Christmas thru Kaden's eyes. He loved having the tree up. We had to give him a few ornaments he could play with to prevent him from taking all of them all the tree. That seemed to work this year, but who knows for next year. Also Kaden loved opening up presents. It took him a few times before he really understood what we going on but by the 3rd get together he was sitting around the presents just waiting to open them b/c he knew there were his. He scored big time in the toy area this year. Aaron and I have had fun trying to find places for all his stuff in our tiny house!! We also took Kaden to see Santa this year, he wasn't so keen on him. He wouldn't smile sitting on Santa's lap. He didn't cry but he looked at us like "Who is this guy and why am I sitting on his lap." Also for Christmas we had fun sitting out cookies and milk for Santa. Then we traveled from MN to IA to OH then back to MN. We took a 7 day road trip. For an 18 month old Kaden did great. He loved to watch Elmo in the car. We are now trying to break him of that habit b/c all we hear is Elmo when he gets into his carseat. We have taken the DVD player out of the car now but he still wants Elmo so he's settled for a CD to listen too! Overall we had a great Holiday. I'll leave you with some family pictures from my parent's house.

Dana! It's so fun to see pics of you guys. Eze isn't saying very many words, but one of them is "Momo"! (Elmo). It's crazy how quickly they learn that one! I'm glad to see that you had a fun Christmas. Happy New Year!!
