On Friday's I normally work from home. I decided to do this so that it could give me 1 extra day home with Kaden while we are bonding with him. Mind you I still have to work so normally I get on e-mail in the mornings and when Kaden goes down for a nap. Well yesterday my boss had setup a meeting and created a call in number for anyone that couldn't be in the office. He even scheduled the meeting around me b/c Kaden normally naps from 11:45-2:oopm. The call was at noon. When you become a parent don't they tell you that the child really does rule what you do, well Kaden decided that he didn't want to nap. So I thought okay I can still get on the conference call I will just put him in the play pen and hopefully he doesn't make too much noise. Well he did good with not making too much noise, I just forgot about hopefully he doesn't have a blow out while I'm on the call. About 10 minutes into the call I look over at Kaden and what do you know, there is poop coming out his shorts. I excused myself from the call rather embarrassed and got Kaden and the play pen cleaned up. There you have it for a great mom moment realizing that my child really does rule me.
Right now we think Kaden is going to be getting in his molars. He has ate kind of funny all week and had a runny nose. Well on Thursday he got his a diaper rash, the worst one yet for us, and runny diapers. Most of the time when he gets a diaper rash I can get it to go away in a day, not this one so far. It's getting better but still there. He also is still having runny diapers, hence the blow out story! I will have the admit the best thing about Kaden teething is he wants to cuddle more! Last night we were playing on the floor and he crawled up on me and laid his head down on my chest. It was so cute. Those are the moments that I love!

That is TOO funny!
Hope his teeth come in soon.
Good Luck w/ the teething ... here are some great diaper rash tips....
-Hairdryer on cool or warm to the bum after oatmeal bath.
-Johnson&Johnson medicated baby powder & butt cream. - use on every single diaper change.
- Set the timer for each hour and check his diaper
-instead of wiping w/ baby wipes strip him down and rinse his bum in the kitchen sink - sounds weird but it works.
THe twins I nannied for always always had diaper rash on Monday morning when I came back to work each week. So I always spent Monday/Tuesday/sometimes Wednesday dealing with it - so I learned a few tricks.
Good luck!
hee hee. I LOVE this story! I'm planning on working from home when I can after Ezekiel is home with us too, so I'm sure there will be some good stories there :) I can't wait to hear more stories about the happy family!!
Hehehehe... you poor thing, but what a funny story! :-) Enjoy those cuddles - those are my favorite too!
We had the same problems when Jax's molars came in. The only thing that worked for the diaper rash was Burt's Bee Baby Bee Diaper Ointment. Enjoy those cuddles and snuggles!
Hi Dana,
That is so funny about your conference call - Very cute!
Sounds like you all are having a great time! I am just catching up on blogs - I have been so busy researching, etc. trying to figure out which direction we are going to take. Hopefully we will figure out something soon.
Warm wishes...Teresa
