Things have been so crazy over the past 2 weeks. Last week I started back to work part-time and this week was full-time. Kaden is doing very well at daycare. He is really liking all the kids to play with. I know I had mentioned before details of our daycare arrangements but I will share again for those of you that missed that post. We decided to go with an in-home daycare just b/c of the environment that Kaden came from being in an orphanage. Our daycare lady is great. Kaden loves her. She also has about 6 children each day. The kids range from 1-4 years old. Kaden is the youngest. Kaden has not cried with us dropping him off. I was a little concerned about this at first but I think my concerns have died down. Kaden is a very happy baby. He really adjust well to new situations. What has made me feel more comfortable about the situation is that Kaden is always happy to see us when we pick him up. He also reaches out to us. Yesterday when I picked him up he came charging at me in the fastest crawl he could do but mid-way he got tired and laid down, it was so cute! Knowing that Kaden really does like daycare has made it easier on me to go back to work.
Another update was last week we went to the pediatrician for Kaden's 12 month checkup. Well he has gained 2 lbs and grew 2 inches in 4 weeks. We were so excited to hear this. He is also on the charts now in all categories. I swear he feels heavier each week. I know soon he will be 20lbs and we can turn the car seat around! A few of his outfits are already starting to get tight on him. Kaden also is now saying "Go Go". It is so cute. He wants to walk so bad. He takes about 2 steps and then falls down. However he gets back up and says "Go Go". He is also standing for 15-20 seconds on his own now. Soon he will be walking and I won't know what to do! Kaden is also babbling a lot more. I am amazed at how much he changes each week. We are still waiting on the 1 year molars to come in but his sleeping has gone back to what it was when we first got home. He will normally go down about 8am and get up 6:30-7am. He also continues to be a good eater. He is now trying finger foods again! He ate mac n cheese the other night on his own!
Next week we have our Eye Doctor appt and then hopefully we can schedule his surgery. Right now we have to arrange with 3 Dr's for his surgery. Next week should be fun trying to get that done.
Next post I will post some more pictures!
