Trip 2 Day 18- Friday May 30th

Tonight blogging it is bittersweet for me. We have had such a good time in Moscow. We have really enjoyed our time here. However we are so excited to get home and start our new life with Kaden. He truly is a blessing in our lives! We love him so much. He is a very friendly baby and pretty easygoing. He is going to fit so well into our family. He has done so well this week.

The only struggle we are really having with him right now is getting to sleep. He hates to go to sleep. He fights it so much. Today he only took probably an hour nap. However at 6:30 pm he crashed and I know he will sleep till we have to get up for our flight at 5am. He is a good sleeper once he goes down. Hopefully this will change and he will get to sleep easier. Tonight we had a funny story of getting him to bed. We went to eat on Old Arbat Street and exchange some money and buy a few more items. Well he fell asleep in the carrier with Aaron. Once we got home we were trying to get him to the crib without him waking up but that didn't work so well. Taking off his jacket woke him up. He wouldn't go back to sleep. So Aaron put him back into the carrier and walked around the apartment with him. He was back to sleep within 5 minutes. I laugh at this story b/c Aaron's mom (Grandma Mary) use to have to walk in circles around teh living room with Aaron to get him to sleep. Now Aaron had to do this tonight. I know Mary will get a kick out of this! What goes around comes around huh!! Hopefully we can find other ways to get him to sleep but right now he seems to like motion to put him to sleep!

Today we went to MOE to try and sign the book, but they were in a meeting and we couldn't do this. Svetlana is going to do this for us on Monday. We then had the afternoon to sightsee. We went to Gorky park. This was one place we hadn't made it too yet. Gorky Park is an amusement park with lots of rides for kids! We had fun walking around. Kaden loved looking at all the kids riding the rides. I think he was jealous that he couldn't do it. This is good for us b/c I love amusement parks. Since I was a kid I always went to Kings Island in Ohio every summer. Now my parents (Grandpa Bill & Grandma Marsha) can take Kaden there when he gets older!

Once we were done we went back to the apartment. We started packing! We also had to wait b/c N & S was registering us today with the Russian Consulate. Once they were done they brought everything to us. It has been so nice to have them be able to run errands for us without us actually going. I can't imagine how much crazier our days would have been this week if we hadn't given them the power of attorney to do this!

I'll leave you with a few pictures from today. Next time we post we will be back into the US and Kaden will be a US citizen!

Paka, Paka (Bye-Bye)

Look at this little boy after his bath today! He is dressed up looking so good. Watch out girls I think he is going to break some hearts someday.

Kaden is just adorable! Sunglasses and short sleeves in Moscow. When you first arrived for trip two it was rainy and cold. What a difference three weeks can make! Best wishes to you guys and safe travels!
