Trip 2 Day 17- Thursday May 29th

I know that all you blog stalkers have been waiting for a post, sorry I was so tired yesterday! We have had a wonderful 2 days with our son! I know I had read it many times before from other families about how much their child changes in just a matter of days. Well know I truly understand this! For those of you that have gone to the baby home and worried about if your child will do this or that b/c you hadn't seen it well I can say don't worry! I had never heard Kaden really cry at that baby home. I was so concerned that he wouldn't cry much or let us know what he needs. Let me tell you he does cry! Not for a long time yet, but he does let us know when he is awake or doesn't want to sleep or doesn't like something too much! Most parents probably don't want for their kids to cry but I at least wanted Kaden too b/c then I would know that he is letting us know what he needs. He still doesn't really cry when he is hungry or needs a diaper change. But we are noticing other ways he is telling us this. He is just hungry all the time. He has not turned down any food we have given him. He is eating about every 2 hours, not full meals each time but he doesn't like an empty stomach. We have noticed he will not sleep with an empty stomach.

Sleeping is going okay. The part that has been a little tough is getting him to sleep. He wants to play. He does not like to go to sleep. He also will not let me rock him to sleep. However if he is really tired I can lay down in the bed with him and he will fall asleep. Once he is asleep he is out. Last night he slept from 8pm till 7:30am. It was great! I hope this continues!

Diaper changing is going well too. We have had lots of poopy diapers, and yes even 1 blow out. He is not suffering from constipation at all that is for sure! We had to go buy more diapers tonight b/c we have gone thru a lot already! We had one of those parents' moments tonight with Kaden as I was changing his diaper. It was a poopy diaper and I had just finished cleaning him up and had just put the diaper under him when oh my gosh he is still going! I had to wait another 5 minutes to make sure he was done and finished changing him.

Today we had our interview with the US Embassy. We have everything we need to get Kaden into the US! We are excited to leave on Saturday. There are a few more things to do tomorrow to finish up!

Finally have to say a big Thank You to Ron & Dinia! You truly have made our trip so enjoyable. I can't imagine staying this time and not having the help you provided while we have been here. Thanks so much for everything. We have enjoyed getting to know you. If you are ever up in MN stop by. We hope we can live up to the high standards you have set for hospitality! Also thanks so much to Karyn & Norm and Becky & Keith for meeting up with us and letting us share your experiences too. We have been truly blessed for meeting you guys and we can't wait to share in your moments of joy with your sons too! You guys are/will be great parents. Your little boys are so precious!
I will leave you with a few pictures of the last couple days!

Great photos! Loved the picture of what looked like you were getting Kaden dressed to leave the Baby Home. It looked like he was saying thanks for taking some of these clothes off and lets go!! I am so happy the rain finally stopped and you got a chance to get some sunny photos. The sun does shine in Moscow!!!!!
