Less than 24 hours to go before we pick up Kaden!! Today we filled out paperwork for the US Embassy with N. There was a lot more papers to fill out then I expected. Once we were done N & S took us to some more sites in Moscow. We went to Novodevichiy Convent (also known as New Maiden Convent). This was a place that consisted of 2 types of people living there, nuns & the people that were exiled there. Tsars could send their wives (in order to marry a different women since divorce was not allowed) or other women to basically confine them for their life. The most famous story was Peter the Great sent his sister Sophia to this place after she plotted against him to take over power. She spent the rest of her life in the convent. We also walked around in the park beside the Convent. It was a beautiful day in Moscow!

We also went to the Novodevichiy Cemetery that is the 2nd highest place to be buried in Moscow (the 1st highest place is on Red Square). There are many famous Russians buried in the cemetery. This cemetery is also the final resting place for military & political dignitaries from the Soviet Union era.
