Trip 2 Day 12- Saturday May 24th

It was cold and rainy again today in Moscow. We decided to try and find the European Mall we had heard about from Ron. We found it!! We took the long way there b/c we actually thought that we weren't going to find it so we were looking for a metro stop to get on and was walking towards that when we found the mall. For those you staying here in the future and you want to kill some time, this mall was a great way to do it. It was so neat. Very pricey but fun to look. We did end up buying a tie for Aaron that was a good deal but that was it! They also had a Build a Bear! To get there you can take the metro to the Kievskaya stop (line 4 or line 5 can get you there) or you can take Old Arbat street to Smolenskaya cross the bridge go past the metro stops and you should see it!

The rest of the day we hung out at the apartment. We have started to prepare for picking up Kaden on Tuesday. The diaper bag it packed, his clothes are organized so I can find outfits, food is ready, and crib is ready! We also put together all the caregiver gifts. On Friday we gave the orphanage our donation. We had planned on giving a monetary donation but when we asked what they needed last Monday they told us that they needed candy for Children's Day on June 1st and bibs. That is what we gave them. It was so much fun getting all the candy they needed. They told us they will give the children this candy on this day to celebrate. It so much fun knowing that we provided the candy that all the children there will get!

I also worked on the slideshow of pictures that I will be posting on Tuesday. I think I have it all done! I'm pretty excited about this! I used Smilebox to create this. I absolutely have fallen in love with this website/program and everything you can do. I love to scrapbook and this is like scrap booking online! Check back on Tuesday morning. I plan on posting it before we leave to get Kaden since our translator will pick up the adoption decree on Monday evening!

Many people have commented on my birthday and my dad's birthday with questions. My birthday is May 23rd and my dad's birthday is May 22nd. It has always been a very special time for me growing up b/c we would celebrate our birthdays together and we still do this when we get together in May! I still love that to this day. Now we have 2 more things to add to our May celebrations, Gotta Day May 27th for Kaden and my lil sis's (Courtney & Andy) wedding May 31st.
